For more than 50 years, we've been providing our Madison Avenue butcher shop customers with old-fashioned, over-the-counter, personalized service—sharing recipes, tips, and techniques, recommending cuts, and chatting about what's new and exceptional.

And, when we started our online butcher shop at lobels.com, one of our biggest challenges was to translate the Lobel's standard of customer service to our new virtual environment so every customer would feel as if they'd just walked into our shop on Madison Ave.

With that in mind, we've created a new communications center on our Web site, called Lobel's Blackboard.

It's similar to a real blackboard you might see in a local butcher shop, restaurant, or bakery. But our Blackboard is interactive and loaded with features to make lobels.com easy for you to use and navigate—so you can find exactly what you're looking for.

From time to time, we may be temporarily sold out of a specific item. The "Available for Pre-Order" section of the Blackboard will fill you in on what products can be ordered in advance. That is, order now and when the shipment arrives at our door, we'll ship it to your door. Check the Blackboard often for items that are on pre-order and be sure to reserve yours first!

When our popular items come back in stock and are available to order, we'll give you first notice on the Blackboard.

Special Orders

Our special orders are an exciting addition to our existing product lines. Special order items include seasonal and limited availability items—they could range from organic poultry and game birds to grass-fed beef, from organic pork to pasture-raised veal. The possibilities are endless! Each special order item will only be available for a short time on a pre-order basis—so be certain to check back often.

New Products

From the very beginning, we have dedicated Lobel's of New York to providing our customers with the freshest and finest meat and specialty products available anywhere, at any price—the best of the best. So we often introduce new products—sometimes inspired by customer feedback. In the months ahead, look for new product lines or extensions of our current product lines with new cuts and options on the Lobel's Blackboard.

And sometimes, we get ideas from our contacts with artisanal producers—small family-run farms and cooperatives that have highest-quality, but low-quantity or limited-production, meats and poultry. These items may only be available seasonally or may be geared to a specific farm's production schedules at certain times of the year.

So, whenever we have brand new products available, we'll put them on the Blackboard so you can be the first to try the newest and best.
