Whether you grill, roast, fry, smoke, or broil them, breaded or not—nothing says "party" like a batch of chicken wings.
So, we are glad to offer fresh Organic Chicken Wings. We’ve already removed the wing tips, and divided each wing into two meaty sections.
They are packed in 1-pound trays, with 6 to 8 wings per pound (in two pieces each, for a total of 12 to 16 pieces). Just pop open the package and you are ready to boogie.
The History of the Chicken Wing
Previously relegated to the stockpot or trash, the once-lowly chicken wing made its leap to culinary phenomenon nearly a half century ago, when a good and loving mom in Buffalo, NY, cooked up a late-night snack in her restaurant kitchen for her son and his hungry friends. She mixed deep-fried wings with butter and hot-pepper sauce, and served them with sides of blue-cheese dressing and celery sticks.
Another famous debut of the same year? The Beatles on Ed Sullivan’s Sunday night cavalcade.
Who knew what the next 40-plus years would bring?
Nowadays, just about every where you go, there are wings. Buffalo-style or any of the infinite variations can be found on restaurant and pub menus, in delis and the supermarket freezer, at picnics, home and tailgating parties from Maine to Maui and farther still.
