Prime Beef Burgundy |
Lobel’s interpretation of the classic French stew, boeuf bourguignon, is warm salvation on a cold night.
Chunks of prime beef are stewed with wine, pearl onions, mushrooms, and smoky bacon in a savory sauce that cries out for mashed potatoes, rice, or parslied noodles.

Cooking Instructions
Boil in the Bag, From Frozen
Boil 3-4 quarts of water in a large pot (rolling boil). Remove pouch from outer bag. Add pouch to boiling water and reduce heat to simmer. (Water is simmering when small bubbles are rising from the bottom of the pot.) Simmer approximately 10-12 minutes to an internal temperature of 160°F, stirring occasionally to circulate water around pouch. Do not overcook.
