Welcome

Welcome to the new Lobel’s Culinary Club.

In the years since we launched our Web site and online butcher shop, the Lobel’s Culinary Club has become the cornerstone of our communications with our customers old and new. Our e-mails span the latest news about products and promotions to help you plan peak dining experiences for family meals, special events, and casual entertaining.

A fundamental part of the Culinary Club content comes from our unique perspective as butchers on meat handling and preparation. And while there are many recipes to share, we want to help you go beyond specific recipes to a wider world of in-depth explorations of cooking techniques. When you understand the fundamentals, you are free to invent your own culinary masterpieces.

We believe the more you know about preparing the finest meat money can buy, the more you will enjoy serving it to your family and friends.

With the launch of our expanded Culinary Club, we’ve created a living archive of knowledge that is gleaned from past e-mails and will grow with future e-mails.

Within the Culinary Club, we hope you’ll find numerous and useful resources to enhance your confidence in preparing the finest and freshest meats available, and ensure your absolute delight with the results.

For your dining pleasure,

lobels Signature

5 Best Video Recipes for Christmas Dinner

On December 8,2016 In christmas , entertaining , holidays , videos

Rib Roast

Sometimes, good ole’ stand-by recipes are great go-to solutions. But sometimes—like at the holidays—you need to pull out all the stops with an amazing new recipe!

No need to worry if you’re still finalizing your Christmas menu and haven’t found that wow-factor centerpiece for your holiday dinner yet. Because we’ve put together 5 of our favorite mouth-watering recipes that will be perfect for your family’s Christmas dinner this year.

1. Lobel’s Wagyu Rib Cap with Port Wine Reduction – T-Roy Cooks

Surrounding the eye of every rib roast is a highly marbled layer of the most tender, succulent, and flavorful meat you can imagine: the rib cap.  And when the rib cap comes from an aged Wagyu rib, prepare yourself to be blown away by flavor, tenderness, and juiciness that has no comparison.

Our friend Troy of T-Roy Cooks took this unbelievable cut, grilled it, then topped it with a shallot and port wine reduction sauce. Incredible!

2. Smoked Prime Rib – Smoky Ribs BBQ & Southern Cuisine

Our friend Rus of Smoky Ribs shows you how to smoke a whole rib roast. The results are amazing. Rus thinks it would make a great Christmas dinner feast, and we couldn’t agree more.

3. Lobel’s Shell Roast (Strip Loin) on the Kamado Joe – T-Roy Cooks

If you love strip steak, you’ll be head over heels for our USDA Prime Dry-Aged Boneless Shell Roast. Also known as a strip loin roast, our Shell Roast is an ideal selection because it is so easy to prepare, carve, and serve. This big, beefy cut is the roast equivalent of a strip steak or New York Strip.

Our friend Troy of T-Roy Cooks does an amazing job of reverse searing this roast to a perfect medium-rare.

4. Amazing Beef Wellington Recipe – Big Meat Sunday

Beef Wellington is a classic and indulgent dish, perfect for your holiday feast.

Watch as our friend John of Big Meat Sunday shows you how to make his decadent Beef Wellington recipe.

5. Classic Chateaubriand with Mushroom Sauce – T-Roy Cooks

Our friend Troy of T-Roy Cooks shows you—step by step—how to create an amazing and easy dinner using Lobel’s USDA Prime Chateaubriand. Our Chateau roast is cut from the center of the whole tenderloin. It is extremely tender and will make the perfect centerpiece for a cozy dinner.

What’s on your Christmas dinner menu? What is your favorite roast for the holidays? What would you serve alongside any of these delicious roasts?
