About Lobel's of New York Dry-Aged Steaks

Only 2% of beef production in the U.S. receives the USDA Prime grade. Lobel's of New York accepts only the top 2% of that high-prime beef for our signature porterhouse cuts.

Each cut then undergoes a dry-aging process that extends up to six weeks. That technique seals in the steak's juices while intensifying its flavor and tenderness.

Porterhouse steaks are also often called T-Bone steaks or “date steaks” because of their reputation as a premium cut of beef perfect for a romantic dinner. At Lobel's of New York, our master butchers hand-cut these meats for optimal quality, marbling, taste, and freshness.

"I received it and it is waiting in the refrigerator until Sunday when I will prepare it for my two adult daughters for Father’s Day. I will be cooking it Alla Florentine style over an open Weber Kettle drum grill using a mix of charcoal and olive tree wood briquettes. Only seasoning will be kosher salt and fresh pepper, brushed as it is cooking with a brush of fresh Rosemary and Sage in Olive oil. Expect to grill 4 minutes on each side over direct heat and then 5 minutes standing on the bone. I’ll let you know how it turns out."

Really expensive and really the best!

"Of all the prime steaks I have purchased over many years these 36 oz dry aged porterhouse are by far the best ever. In fact I just ordered more for Christmas dinner. As a long time wine collector it is important to match these steaks with a great wine. Our 1994 Spotteswoode Cabernet Sauvignon was a match made in heaven. Looking forward to a 1989 or 1990 Bordeaux for Christmas dinner."

MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH NOT IN YOUR HANDS!!

"Ordered for a special Birthday celebration with my 30 year old son cooked medium rare on our real charcol grill with soaked Mesquite chips for smoke and a light rub served with a Marques de Riscal Reserva Rioja Ceasar salad and baked potatoes. Bottom line: OUR BRAINS FELL OUT!!! Every bite was so full of flavor and tender goodness. (we justified the cost by agreeing not to eat out for two times during the next month) IT WAS VERY SPECIAL AND WE LOVED IT!"

"I ordered a 36 oz porterhouse along with other steaks and it was the best steak I have ever grilled and the quality meets or exceeds that of any high end steakhouse you can think of. The steak is superb. You can not find a steak of this quality at any supermarket or butcher shop. Do yourself a favor and buy what in my opinion is the best steak available. Ordering is easy and the shipping is fast. I am so glad I tried Lobel\s The meat comes shipped inside a cooler with multiple ice packs very well packaged. I was so impressed by the quality ease of ordering and delivery of the steaks I ordered more within two days. Thank you Lobel\s for offering such a great product."
