    1 1/2 lbs. Ground Beef
    1/2 Cup Milk
    3/4 Cup Breadcrumbs
    1/4 Cup Dry Red Wine
    1 Medium Sized Onion (Chopped)
    1/4 Teaspoon Ground Ginger
    Salt
    Pepper
    Garlic Powder
    6 Strips of Bacon

Directions

First place meat in a large bowl and let it come to room temperature.
In a separate bowl, mix milk with breadcrumbs and add meat along with all of the other ingredients (except bacon). Mix lightly with 2 forks and then form into walnut-size balls. The best way to do this is to put water or oil on your hands.
Meanwhile, cook bacon on medium fire. When golden (but not brown), remove and place on paper towels.
Now saute the meatballs on all sides in the bacon fat. Then place them on paper towels to drain before putting them into a pan in the lowest possible oven temperature to keep warm until party time. Just before serving, crumble bacon and sprinkle over beef balls.

Tips:

The best way to form meatballs is to put water or oil on your hands.
